Duxbury Park Golf Course is a bit of a gem, hidden away in Chorley.
Owned by a golf course group, Duxbury is just one of their courses where you can sign up to a monthly (Pay and Play) style membership and get your money’s worth in this parkland style course.
Stuart and I managed to get a tee time from “TeeOffTimes.com” and got it for the little sum of £8.
We didn’t take too many pictures of the course however I hope you’ve enjoyed our video and it’s shown you some of the course.
We were pleasantly suprised at the condition for the value and have heard that it’s just a council run course in disguise. It was actually really nice and the course layout was superb.
Well worth the money if you’re looking for someone to just have a knock. If you’re looking for year round golf, probably not the one for you but it was a great day.

Duxbury Park Golf Course - Golf Course Review-
Condition2/5 BadGreens were fastish, but I wouldn't put it up there with the average condition in the area. This is obviously reflected in the price.
-
Cost of a Round and a Buggy5/5 AmazingWas £8 for the round and if we wanted £15 for a buggy. That's municipal pricing!
-
Difficulty (5 playable for all, 1 only the best)5/5 AmazingThe course was fairly easy. A couple of tricky holes but no blind shots and fairly open.
-
Hole Layouts/Design2/5 BadMunicipal style inland parkland course. Last few holes were great but not very memorable.
-
Clubhouse and Bar (Quality and Costs)2/5 BadGreat facilities for a local course however, they were shut when we finished. Did manage to get a burger halfway round which was great but nothing when we finished.
-
Additional Points2/5 Bad2 additional points purely for the fact there was no one on there. We took our time, videos and strolled round.
The Good
- Cheap and cheerful
- Suprisingly fast greens
The Bad
- Clubhouse was shut when finished
- Course was ropey
